Psychiatrist - Alabama

Cetechs, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is looking for a Psychiatrist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Montgomery, AL, Tuskegee, AL, Dothan, AL, Fort Rucker, AL, Columbus, GA, and Monroeville, AL

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Experience: 2 years
• Licensure/Certifications: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Must be a US Citizen;
• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Your basic responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: ·

• Clinically active in outpatient services, including walk-ins.
• Integrated responsibilities including coverage of medical/surgical consultation, coverage of inpatient services, compensation and pension services, emergency room care, and geriatric services.
• Provides active supervision and teaching for psychiatric residents and other trainees as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and outcome data initiatives.
• Providing patient and family health education with a focus on self-management, prevention and wellness based on the patients goals.
• Provision of Telepsychiatry services as needed.
• Provides on call duties as assigned- WHEN (Weekends, Holidays, Evenings, and Nights) hours.
