Job Description - Psychologist

Position Overview: As a Psychologist at Priority Group Services, you will be instrumental in providing psychological assessments, interventions, and therapeutic support to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Psychological Assessments:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand the emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents.

    • Utilize standardized testing and clinical interviews to inform diagnostic impressions.

  • Individual and Group Therapy:

    • Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to children and adolescents.

    • Collaborate with clients and their families to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

  • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:

    • Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care.

    • Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and develop integrated treatment strategies.

  • Crisis Intervention:

    • Offer crisis intervention and support to clients during challenging situations.

    • Collaborate with the team to develop crisis prevention plans.

  • Treatment Planning and Review:

    • Contribute to the development and review of individualized treatment plans.

    • Monitor and assess treatment progress, adjusting plans as necessary.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Provide written reports and updates to the team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New Jersey.

  • Experience in child and adolescent psychology preferred.

  • Strong assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
