Psychometrist

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Psychometrist.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Administer standardized and non-standardized tests of cognitive functions.

· Score all tests administered and prepare an accurate summary of scores and behavioral observations.

· Maintain test equipment.

· Order supplies, equipment and forms as needed.

· Perform occasional administrative support tasks as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education: 

· Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science.

Other Requirements: 

· Prior experience with neuropsychological testing preferred.

• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential      function of the job

· Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Skills:

· Excellent interpersonal skills including the capacity to evaluate and elicit cooperation from patients with cognitive, behavioral and psychiatric problems.

• Highly motivated, organized, and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills interacting with the other professional and administrative staff.
• Excellent observational skills and the ability to record those observations.

Abilities:

• Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
• Ability to project a pleasant and professional image.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.

Equipment Operated: 

· Standard medical exam/office equipment, which may include computerized health information management system for medical records, etc.

Work Environment: 

· Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space.

Mental/Physical Requirements: 

· Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients.
