PT Class A CDL Line Haul Parts Driver (25-30 hours/week and 400-450 miles/day)

Modern Chevrolet Parts Warehouse has an immediate opening for an Automotive PT Class A CDL Line Haul Parts Driver. This position is an evening haul route based in Boone, NC.  Join the team of talented parts professionals at Modern Chevrolet Parts Warehouse. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors


• Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up


• Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery


• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry


• Unloads truck each night, returning all paperwork and undelivered parts.


• Operate vehicle safely within DOT regulations that govern safe driving, hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and transportation of hazardous materials.


• Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and satisfactorily pass a drug test and alcohol test.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license


• Highly organized and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs


• A High school diploma or GED is required.


• Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.


• Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and extended periods of time.
