Public Health Registered Nurse Job Opportunity - Chicago, Illinois - Opportunity to Make a Differenc

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) for their measles vaccination campaign. This position involves assisting the Immunization Program with vaccine administration on weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The contract duration is 16 weeks, with a guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments prior to vaccine administration.
• Administer MMR vaccine following CDPH policy and procedures.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment in compliance with CDPH policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow Medical Standing Orders and emergency procedures as necessary.
• Demonstrate high-level analytical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in ambulatory care nursing or related field.
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date vaccination status.
• Previous experience in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desired.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid State of Illinois drivers license preferred.
• Candidates with a Bachelors degree, eligible for licensure, may be considered but must obtain license within the first six months of employment.
