Job Opportunity: Public Health Nurse - Measles Vaccination Campaign

Location: Chicago, IL

Assignment Period: 60-90 days, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Are you a passionate Registered Nurse eager to make a tangible impact on public health? We are seeking dedicated Public Health Nurses to assist our team in administering vaccines as part of a crucial measles vaccination campaign in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, registrations, and education sessions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Administer pediatric and adult vaccines following protocols.
• Adhere to Medical Standing Orders for vaccine administration.
• Execute emergency procedures and administer emergency response drugs as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Training:

• Registered Nurse licensure with a minimum of two years' experience in ambulatory care nursing. OR
• Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited National League for Nursing (NLN) program, along with RN licensure.
• Valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse license at the time of employment. (Note: Candidates with a Bachelors degree eligible for licensure may be considered, but must obtain licensure within six months of employment.)

Additional Requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccination record.
• CPR certification.
• Preference for a valid State of Illinois drivers license.
• Previous experience in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
