Public Relations Account Executive

When others see a press release, you see a narrative. Some may see an inbox of reporters, but you see opportunity. If you're the type of communicator who can juggle story development, media outreach, content creation, and client communication without missing a beat, this opportunity is for you. Our longtime client is seeking an experienced PR Account Executive with a passion for high quality PR ready to translate insights into messaging, develop strong media relationships, and ensure every communication touchpoint feels intentional and aligned. Work blends both B2B and B2C and requires someone who thrives in an agency environment. You'll support and guide client programs, develop media strategies backed by research, oversee awards and recognition efforts, and help ensure every account runs with precision. Candidates must be located within the Greater Phoenix Area to attend in -person meetings, client sessions, and occasional team + client meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Lead PR Execution & Media Relations

• You'll pitch local, national, and trade outlets while building and maintaining strong media relationships, develop press materials, and monitor relevant industry insights. You'll support in crafting smart, research -backed recommendations that elevate visibility and impact.
  
• Support award submissions, recognition programs, and visibility initiatives.
  

Content Development

• From press releases and award submissions to blogs, social content, and marketing collateral, you'll create polished and concise on -brand content (journalistic writing rooted in AP Style) and strategic messaging.
  

Support Integrated Campaigns

• Work alongside digital marketing teammates to align PR, content, and lead -generation efforts. PPC expertise isn't required, but you should understand how PR and marketing fuel one another.
  

Drive Account Management & Client Relationships

• Act as a reliable point of contact, prepare agendas and status updates, route approvals, coordinate meetings, and keep projects moving with accuracy, clarity, and professionalism.
  
• Keep accounts organized and moving forward; anticipate needs before they arrive.
  
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams, leadership, and strategic partners to ensure alignment and quality.
  

Collaborate Across Teams

• You'll work with internal leaders, subject matter experts, and trusted strategic partners to ensure every deliverable is high -quality, on time, and on strategy.
  
• Operate with accountability and ownership while contributing positively to a high -trust, tight -knit culture.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in PR, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or relevant field
  
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in PR, marketing, journalism, communications, etc. including agency experience required.
  
• Strong journalistic writing skills rooted in AP Style (Portfolio and work/writing samples mandatory)
  
• Proven media pitching success with existing media relationships local to the Phoenix market
  
• Experience supporting both B2B and B2C clients
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with ease
  
• High motivation and comfort working virtually and with a collaborative team
  
• Motivated by accountability and ownership vs being micromanaged
  
• Familiarity with Cision, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, or Photoshop is a bonus
  
• A proactive, resourceful, positive attitude and approach with a genuine curiosity to be a lifelong learner and collaborative team player
