As a Public Safety Coordinator, you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our internationally renowned artists, valued staff, contractors, and vendors. This position offers full-time hours, coverage primarily for swing shifts during show nights, with additional shifts as needed. The schedule requires consistent evening and weekend availability, along with occasional daytime and overnight (graveyard) shifts to accommodate the diverse needs of events. The roll is temporary for three to six months, with the opportunity to become a regular full-time staff of SFJAZZ. This role does not offer benefits during the temporary period.
The SFJAZZ season generally operates on a performance schedule of Thursday-Sunday, in addition to rentals and education events which are typically held Monday-Thursday, generally late September through early August.
Physical requirements include ability to safely navigate stairs, extended periods of time standing, working in dark environments and lifting up to 35 pounds.
