Pulmonary Function Test Technician (RSDS)

General Summary of Duties: This position is responsible for Pulmonary Function Test

(PFT) Tech duties at Respiratory & Sleep Disorder Specialists.

PFT Tech Essential Functions:

• Perform Pulmonary Function and Spirometry Testing
• Calibrate PFT machine daily
• Confirm appointments for two days out and reiterate PFT prep
• Clean and sanitize body box daily and notify PFT lead when supplies are needed
• Coordinate with PFT lead when troubleshooting any issues with the machine
• Perform 6-minute walks as needed
• File scans and faxes as needed
• Float to other locations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program with active RMA, CMA, or
• NCMA certification is preferred
• Minimum 2-year experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting
• Knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
