Pump Tech Apprentice

An entry level position with growth potential! No experience is necessary. The Pump Tech apprentice will work directly under our Senior Pump Technician to learn how to build, diagnose, and repair various pumps used and sold by Hoss Rentals. Anyone with basic mechanical skills can excel at this position. This position will also help with multiple tasks within the company to learn and round out additional skills.

Job Duties

· Train under senior pump techs to learn how to repair various pumps including but not limited to: Vacuum Pumps, Triplex Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Gear Pumps, and Submersible Pumps.

· Build new pump skid packages

· Diagnose Electrical Motors and Starters

· Test equipment for proper operation

· Clean and paint equipment

· Perform assigned training programs

· Keep a clean and organized workspace

· Complete detailed job invoices per task performed

Qualifications

· No previous experience required; this is an entry-level position with growth potential.

· Individual must be willing to learn, be reliable, and have mechanical ability

· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

· Ability to work independently and stay on task

· Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and work well with others

· Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication

· Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and will be entered into a random testing pool

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly

- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
