Job Summary
The Pupil Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the activities associated with pupil accounting, including data input and data quality, state and federal data submissions, desk/field audits, and other internal and external reports related to pupil accounting for all IES managed schools. The Coordinator manages MSDS and PowerSchool reporting as required. This position provides both phone support and a variety of training for IES schools. The Pupil Accounting Coordinator subscribes to the vision, mission and values of Integrity Educational Services and the applicable academies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist with maintenance of EpiCenter system.
2. Pull class schedules for REP Semi-annual submission.
3. Assist in preparing monthly Board Meeting materials.
4. Responds to customer needs and customer concerns for both the department and the overall organization.
5. Coordinates the collection, compilation, dissemination, and transmission of pupil accounting data required by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and the federal government.
6. Responsible for and involved in coordinating audits of membership and attendance records for all K-12 districts and ISD audit teams, and provide on-going assistance to the local districts in maximizing student counts.
7. Provides assistance and acts as a resource agent in answering questions throughout the year regarding pupil accounting and various state and federal reports.
8. Assists with preparing and conducting an annual training meeting for PowerSchool users, as well as smaller trainings as set up by local principals for members of their staff.
9. Remains current with all changes in law relative to pupil accounting.
10. Serves as system administrator and technical contact for student information system (currently PowerSchool).
11. Continues education on student information system, including attending local ISD user group meetings.
12. Ensures that all student data systems contain complete, accurate, and up-to-date information for required reporting.
13. Utilizes established data systems to track, maintain, and report critical student information such as contact information, enrollment status, withdrawals, and all other required indicators.
14. Performs duties related to scheduling and grade reporting, such as inputting the master schedule and scheduling accordingly, assisting in maintaining accurate class rosters, and coordinating grade reporting cycles at required time increments.
15. Attends school staff meetings as requested.
16. Performs all other duties, as assigned.
