Job Summary

This position is responsible for tracking inventory, ensure trucks are stocked and technicians have the parts and equipment they need and researching equipment and parts to purchase them in the most cost effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Helping assure that the company generates the budgeted gross margin by purchasing equipment and parts at the lowest prices.
• Making sure that equipment costs on the financial statement are 25% of sales or less.
• Making sure that all purchases have a purchase order, and are properly marked as to which department they should be charged to.
• Arranging for efficient deliveries of parts and equipment to installers and technicians. An installer or technician should go to a supply house only as a last resort. Work closely with dispatch and operations manager, make every possible effort to keep them on the job working and not picking up parts.
• Replenishing truck stock using the TBR System. Do not have technicians or installers make unnecessary trips for stocking, but instead, plan it around their dispatch schedule.
• Working with supply house on consignment inventory to make sure that the shop has all standard stock installation and service parts.
• Counting serialized equipment on the last day of each month, and report results to the Administrative Manager.
• Processing all warranty parts and warranty labor credits quickly. Following through to make sure that the company receives the credit quickly.
• Keeping warehouse area neat and clean.
• Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
• Heavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to time
• Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
• Operate handheld power tools
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day

Working Environment:

• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Would be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures
• Will be in proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations
• Must be able to work with sharp tools and electricity that could potentially produce cuts or burns
• Wear safety attire often, such as goggles or other protective clothing
• Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting
• Will be exposed to very bright or inadequate lighting conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work from roofs and scaffolding
• Will work around exposed contaminants
• Must be able to work in cramped work places, such as crawl spaces under floors.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean background check
• Drug-Free

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
