TIBA PURCHASING AGENT- Direct Projects

Job Description:

The purchasing agent coordinates purchasing for direct projects and VAR orders. In addition to coordinating, the purchasing agent will negotiate pricing for items not covered under global agreements and/or will work with vendor to improve pricing on specific items. The purchasing agent is the liaison between sales, project managers, and the delivery center.

What we expect of you:
• Responsible for P.O. creation and ordering items as needed per category.
• Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external vendors.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates to all stakeholders.
• Monitor all PO statuses to confirm all PO’s are moving through the process efficiently
• Manage and monitor re-order reports to maintain proper stock levels
• Negotiate pricing for large-scale purchases of third-party components
• Manage purchasing master data information in ERP system

Requirements:
• 5 years of purchasing experience
• ERP and Inventory Management experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Purchasing certification a plus but not necessary
