Job Description - Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant (Hockley)
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, negotiation strategies, and supply chain optimization. The Position will report to the Purchasing Manager ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Process material requests from the field
Coordinate deliveries, will calls, and hot shots with warehouse/supply houses
Utilize submittals to ensure accurate takeoffs and releases
Process shorts for stock items
Answer P.O. line and issue P.O.’s as required
Light data entry to process invoices
