Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant will assist various departments in purchasing needed supplies, verifying when received, and be primary contact with vendors and support our inventory process.

Job Responsibilities

• Order supplies for individual departments and maintains purchase requirements


• Oversee all outside vendor services


• Researches and answer vendor issues when purchase orders have discrepancies


• Ensure all deliveries are properly received and posted in company ERP system


• Work with accounting and plant management on inventory counts done monthly or quarterly


• May backup other departments and locations as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent required


• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook


• Good written and verbal skills


• Good organizational skills


• Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers

Compensation

• The hourly pay is $25-$30/hr
