Purchasing Assistant - Temp Assignment - Professional Development Opportunities

We are looking for a temporary Purchasing Assistant to join our team in the Charlotte metro area for about a six month assignment. Smith Douglas Homes is proud of our family type work environment.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Trade Relations Manager and the Production department.

What You’ll Do:

1. Manage the administrative aspects of Variance Purchase Order’s (VPO’s) and Purchase Orders (PO’s)
2. Maintain productive relationships with Construction staff and Trade Partners.
3. Maintain the work schedule and process schedule delays
4. Generate Plan Change Requests
5. Manage job-specific vendor reassignments
6. Enter monthly and quarterly pricing in bid files
7. Run the monthly insurance report and upload all new COI
8. Process subcontractor invoices.
9. Place orders for utilities
10. Review estimates with new communities

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:

• High School diploma

Experience:

• 2+ years office administrative experience.
• Experience in homebuilding industry preferred.

Computer Skills:

• Microsoft Office
