Job Description - Purchasing Coordinator

Candidates must reside in the Nashville, TN area. 

PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Can you manage procurement of over $2M in equipment annually? Then we welcome you to apply! 


 


We are a Managed Service Provider for K-12 charter schools.  We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator who will quote, procure and ship hardware and software for our clients across the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of these activities between internal teams and directly with Clients. This individual must be able to understand technology specifications, managed multiple vendor relationships, facilitate shipping, and understand pricing and margin requirements. 


 


If you are a detail-oriented professional with over 3 years’ experience in a purchasing, controller, or sales engineering role, we encourage you to apply for this position.



Responsibilities:


     ·        Configuration and quoting of hardware and software based on our gold standards


      ·        Quote creation and management 


      ·        Order management utilizing Halo procurement functionality


      ·        Shipping and receiving via FedEx/UPS


      ·        Hardware/software warranty renewal management


      ·        Vendor relationships and management


Ideally you will also have:


·        Understanding of pricing and margins


·        Ability to negotiate with vendors for volume discounts and savings


·        Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external contacts


·        Proven ability to make good financial decisions


·        Drive to make sure details are not overlooked


Requirements:


·        Strong communication skills


·        3+ years’ experience in a procurement role


·        Understanding of technology hardware, specifically workstations and networking gear


·        Ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis


·        Passing of background checks including a credit check
