We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to support our gear manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will assist the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, components, and services critical to production. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods at the most competitive cost.
The Purchasing Coordinator will work cross-functionally with the production, inventory, and quality control teams to ensure a continuous and cost-effective supply chain that supports our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.
Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival of materials.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain positive, long-term vendor relationships.
Work with the quality department to resolve material non-conformances or performance issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
Certification or Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred;or3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a related field
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Logistics with 1+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

This role primarily operates in an office setting but may involve occasional exposure to the shop floor. Work is mostly sedentary (computer-based), with occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 25 lbs.
