Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities to support manufacturing operations, ensuring materials, components, and services are obtained at the best value while meeting quality, delivery, and compliance requirements. This role develops supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, manages inventory strategies, and works cross-functionally with engineering, production, and finance to support operational goals.
Essential Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field
· Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
· Strong negotiation skills with proven experience managing suppliers and contracts
· Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management principles
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
· Experience in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments
· Knowledge of metal, fabrication, or industrial equipment procurement
· Supervisory or team leadership experience

Physical Requirements:
