This is a FULL-TIME Position, out of our Plano Plant. We have been in business for over 150 years and are one of the most well know OEM's for the food manufacturing industry. We are currently doing well. Over the last 2 years, we have increased our headcount by 26%.
The Purchasing Manager position is a key role in the organization that ensures the timely procurement and delivery of quality machine parts while managing inventory levels. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the negotiation of pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage and coordinate the purchasing of machine parts, raw materials, and finished products.
Maintain accurate inventory of products required to complete customer orders.
Research and evaluate suppliers to identify the most cost-effective and reliable sources of products.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with vendors.
Review and analyze supplier performance against contracts.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of the purchase requisition process.
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Support the ERP system and other purchasing datasets.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience.
Knowledge of product sourcing and negotiation.
Knowledge of Purchasing and/or inventory control systems.
Experience in ERP systems and creating BOMs.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
