Position Summary

Willis Klein Commercial is seeking a detail-driven Division 8 & 10 Purchasing Specialist to join our Procurement Team. This role is critical in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and Division 10 specialties. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, is fluent in hardware schedules and takeoffs, and values precision, accountability, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Purchasing Operations

• • Issue and track purchase orders based on approved submittals and release schedules
• • Coordinate lead times, order confirmations, and shipping with manufacturers and vendors
• • Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, freight, and terms

Project Execution

• • Verify product specs and compliance with NFPA, IBC, ADA, and UL requirements
• • Track templates, handing, finish codes, and hardware group accuracy
• • Collaborate with estimating, PMs, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery

Documentation & Workflow

• • Maintain detailed purchasing logs, supplier contracts, and shipment records
• • Ensure all procurement activity aligns with company ERP workflows (Comsense)
• • Support procurement closeouts, including warranties and returns

Qualifications

• • 2+ years in Division 8/10 purchasing, construction supply, or related field (preferred)
• • Familiarity with Allegion, ASSA ABLOY, Dormakaba, Hager, and other key vendors
• • Experience reading door/hardware schedules and interpreting architectural submittals
• • ERP experience (Comsense strongly preferred); Excel proficiency required
• • Strong negotiation and vendor communication skills
• • Knowledge of fire-rated openings and code-compliant hardware is a plus
