Purchasing Specialist

• Assist managers in maintaining accurate department files on supplies ordered.
• Contact vendors to order supplies, resolve discrepancies in pricing and notify departments of disposition of orders.
• Use a computer-based purchasing system to place PO's and resolve issues.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of electronic order transmissions.
• Maintains a schedule, works out problems with orders and works as a liaison between department and storeroom.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent  

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

• N/A  

EXPERIENCE:

• Four years in Materials Management/Inventory Control or similar field.
