Purchasing Supervisor

Eaton\u2019s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $120,000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n** Relocation assistance is available for a candidate currently residing in the USA .\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPRIMARY FUNCTION: \nDirects and controls the flow of materials into the plant, maintaining the balance between lowering inventory turns and avoiding production interruptions. Main point of contact for plant material priorities. SAP subject matter expert regarding purchasing practices and ensures that the process standards are followed to maximize material availability while minimizing inventory and supply chain cost. \n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \n\n * Support Strategic Buyers team with escalation help to global Eaton procurement team to ensure objectives are achieved, such as material availability, inventory levels, etc.\n * Direct COE buyers with plant priorities and ensure purchasing processes are monitored and followed. \n * Work cross functionally with other plant supervisors and plant management to meet production schedules, inventory levels, and shipment demands to achieve on-time performance and inventory management requirements.\n * Lead improvement initiatives with internal and external vendors to improve P2P process efficiency and reliability. \n * Monitor invoicing and accounts payable processes, troubleshooting and escalating issues as required. \n * Evaluates work performance of the materials planning group annually, or as required, in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc. \n * Work with Global Sourcing team to onboard suppliers and expand supply chain capability in line with plant growth. \n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance or business. \n\u2022 Three (3) years of relevant supervisory experience in supply chain supporting a manufacturing environment .\n\n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\u201d \n\n\u2022 Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 SAP Purchasing experience in maintaining master data records and placing POs \n\u2022 Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)\n\n\u2022 Previous experience involving manufacturing plant receiving, shipping, and material handling .\n\n\u2022 Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP shipping, receiving and stock room processes. \n\u2022 Warehouse management system (WMS) experience. \n\u2022 Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous improvement project experience. \n\u2022 Effective people management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent projects.\n\n\u2022 Effective English written and verbal communication skills.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Experience in goods receipt and invoice reconciliation \n\u2022 Leading strategic supply chain projects, high level of analytical skills. \n\u2022 Broad knowledge of computerized inventory systems, scheduling techniques, general manufacturing, and ability to interpret drawings and prints. \n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
