The JOB

The Purchasing Supervisor, reporting to the Director of Finance, is responsible for the administration and coordination of purchasing activations for both the Jekyll Island Club Resort and the Jekyll Ocean Club. The Purchasing Supervisor obtains bids, chooses suppliers for day-to-day operations, and will verify that all ordered items are received and of expected quality.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of purchasing and procurement experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Previous work with AVENDRA or similar programs helpful.
• Craftable Foodager or other purchasing and inventory management systems experience.
• Previous "commissary" style receiving, inventory control, and issuing to departments.
• Interface with departmental reports and accountability.
• Must be articulate and able to describe thought process and workflow decisions in detail.
• Strong understanding and proven execution of purchasing processes, contracts, and long-term planning.
• Must be detail-oriented and operate with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, and integrity.
