PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE II - ARBORIST 

The Village of Carol Stream seeks a certified arborist to perform year-round labor assignments including: landscape maintenance, planting, inspection, pruning, trimming, treating and removal of the Village’s tree inventory. This position is also involved with the Village’s snow removal efforts, and may be assigned to any other Street division tasks as necessary.  Ability to perform physical labor, operate tools and equipment, work in various weather conditions, respond to emergency call-ins, and the ability to obtain a State Pesticide Operator’s License within 60 days of hire.  

Qualified individuals must possess the following:

High School Degree or Equivalent

• ISA Arborist Certification


• A Valid Illinois Vehicle Operators License


• Ability to Obtain CDL Class B with Air Brakes License within One Year of Employment


• Desire to Learn
