Python Dev Tech Lead (Hybrid)

Prime Service Tech is working on multi-year growth initiative and as part of it, we are expanding our platform offering to markets quants and product development to build analytics using Python, hosting new data platform and building robust monitoring and observability capabilities for Prime Tech. The team is seeking a Python development technology lead role(Vice President), located in Tampa Florida. This role requires strong expertise in Python + Airflow and the ability to work directly with markets quants (quantitative analyst) and multiple development teams in building analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with markets quants and multiple tech teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
• Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of hands on application development experience.
• 5+ years of Python application development experience.
• Extensive experience with Web service, FAST API, JSON, Airflow, Kafka, S3, SQL Server/Oracle Database.
• Experience with Grafana observability tech stacks for log, trace, metrics. as well as open telemetry.
• Experience with ECS, docker, CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with data technology such as Trino, Starburst, Pinot, Spark is a plus.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and willing to work with responsibility to support business success.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Work in the office for three days each week, subject to adjustments based on company policy.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
