QA Billing Specialist

Purpose of Position:

 The QA Biller supports the Quality Assurance team by coordinating documentation and billing processes at the center level. This includes gathering service notes, entering billing into the EHR, conducting first-level paperwork reviews, assisting with edits, and helping staff stay compliant with billing and documentation requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring that services are billed accurately and in a timely manner, and that center paperwork is organized and complete. 

Essential Functions:

Collects documentation from center staff and inputs billing into the EHR system.

· Reviews service notes and related paperwork for completeness and compliance before approval.

· Assists with correcting and editing documentation in collaboration with center staff.

· Helps coordinate the flow and organization of paperwork at the assigned center.

· Completes monthly billing summaries (“monthlies”) for the center they are stationed at.

· Supports other Quality Assurance initiatives and projects as assigned.

· Provides assistance to staff with documentation-related questions.

· Maintains accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office and EHR tools.

· May assist with general clerical duties or covering phones when needed.

GED or High School Diploma  Required

Experience:

1+ yr billing experience  Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

         Good organization and communication skills

         Computer literate

         Friendly and outgoing and able to empathize with consumers

         Must know Microsoft Office

Professional Certifications & Licenses:

None  Required  

Other requirements:

Self-identify as a Peer by the International Association of Peer Supporters (INAPS)

or Mental Health America definition and/or have (or have had a history) of a

Mental Health/Behavioral Health or Substance Use/Abuse Diagnosis
