Job Description

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE : Do you have a passion for data quality and a knack for building automated solutions? Are you an analytical thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment? If so, we want you on our team! We are seeking a highly skilled QA Data Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data warehouse and reporting environments by designing, developing, and executing automated testing frameworks.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Data Quality:
Develop a comprehensive QA strategy for our data warehouse and reporting environments, focusing on data integrity, consistency, and timeliness.
Identify and document potential data quality issues and collaborate with data teams to implement solutions.
Automation Architect:
Design and develop automated test frameworks using appropriate tools to test database objects, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
Implement robust test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of data quality checks.
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to keep pace with evolving data pipelines and reporting needs.
Data Champion:
Utilize your analytical mindset to identify, diagnose, and help resolve data discrepancies.
Investigate data quality issues and propose solutions to ensure data accuracy across our systems.
Work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Power BI developers to understand data models, transformations, and reporting requirements.
Translate technical data quality concepts into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date documentation for data quality testing processes and automated scripts.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:

3-5 years of experience as a QA Data Automation Engineer or a related role.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Expertise in developing and executing automated test frameworks for data quality checks.
Proven experience working with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server, Power BI, and Azure Key Vaults.
Proficiency in working with an Azure DevOps environment for CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent SQL skills for writing ad-hoc queries to verify data integrity and analyze test results.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience:

Experience with cloud-based data testing methodologies.
Experience with data visualization tools for presenting data quality insights.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field OR equivalent work experience
