QA Instrumentation & Controls Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist – Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) to support a high-profile mission-critical project. This role will focus on ensuring installation, testing, and documentation of I&C systems meet design intent, project specifications, and client standards. The QA I&C specialist will work closely with construction, commissioning, and engineering teams to drive quality across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on installation of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, control panels, and automation systems.
• Review drawings, submittals, and vendor documentation for accuracy and alignment with design specifications.
• Verify field installations against approved design documents; identify deviations and track corrective actions.
• Support development and execution of QA/QC checklists, inspection reports, and turnover documentation.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams during functional testing of I&C systems.
• Participate in construction and coordination meetings to raise and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain clear records of inspections, deficiencies, and resolutions to support project close-out.
   

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA/QC roles with a focus on instrumentation and controls.  
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, instrumentation installation practices, and applicable codes/standards.  
• Experience in mission-critical facilities (data centers, semiconductor, heavy industrial, etc.) strongly preferred.  
• Ability to interpret design drawings, I&C schematics, and technical specifications.  
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills.
