QC Associate-Transportation

Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and communicative candidate to join our Team as a QC Associate! Our Site Receiver is the first person to have contact with drivers entering our facilities and are heavily relied upon for quality assurance. Our QC Associate is responsible for communicating truck and rail activity to field teams, staging drivers for loading, and completing cargo inspections.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Ensure received and shipped cargo is accounted for through use of Bills of Lading.
• Complete inbound and outbound inspections of cargo and report any damages.
• Ensure all cargo information is captured to fulfill reporting expectations.
• Use external digital reporting for accounting for cargo.
• Ensure all daily reports are sent to appropriate parties.
• Complete internal audits to ensure reporting matches on-hand inventory.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience working in shipping and receiving environment
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven organization and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to quickly learn digital reporting software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking in potential extreme weather.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted at times.
• Must be able to climb up and down truck/trailer, railcars, and ladders routinely.
• Must be able to bend and crawl in tight areas.
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
