Company Overview: U.S. Spice Mills is a major supplier of pure spices in the U.S. food industry since 1986. We are proud to provide high quality spices to large food producers of national brands that you know and love. As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for a dedicated QC Lead to join our quality team and ensure that our products meet the highest standards. Position reports into the QC Supervisor and is an on-site position (M-F) with occasional Saturday’s as needed. This position will also be the back-up to our QC Supervisor and QC Technician(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Testing and Control:

• Perform Pre-operational Production checks, swabs and Sieve analysis.
• Conduct regular quality tests on our spice products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards.
• Analyze test results and report any discrepancies or deviations to the Quality Control Supervisor.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive records of all quality tests/logs, and any corrective actions taken.
• Ensure that all documents are filled out accurately, in detail, and are organized efficiently.
• Review documentation for compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Perform batch record review and verifications including sign-offs of applicable records.

Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills Needed to be successful in this position:

• Background in the food industry is required.
• 3-5 years of quality experience is required.
• Must have a high sense of urgency and holds themselves accountable
• Must be a self-starter and be able to problem solve
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products (word, excel, power point) and data entry.
• Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• No sensitivity to food or strong spice aromas.
• Willing to learn and obtain certifications if needed.
• Desire to be a part of a team and do great work.
• Strong & pleasant personality that can communicate effectively.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Pay Range: $22-$24/hour
