Job Description

  • Oversee the routine testing group to ensure sample testing are being completed correctly and on time.
  • Perform laboratory testing on primary container closure components/systems and secondary packaging systems. Types of testing could include container closure integrity testing, mechanical based testing (break loose glide force, residual seal force, etc.), and vibration testing to simulate shipping conditions.
  • Receive samples in in LIMS, execute test methods, collect data, document results contemporaneously in lab notebooks, and release in the appropriate LIMS
  • Participate in the development and qualification of test methods
  • Interact with customers in timely manner to ensure business needs are met
  • Ensure all activities follow established safety standards, regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP)
  • Supervise others in performing client’s service requirements
  • Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
  • Foster motivation and morale
  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
  • Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
  • Coach and develop individuals and team to maximize performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in science, engineering, or technology, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • At least 3 months related laboratory experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
