We are able to sustain this through our linking values of expertise, collaboration, integrity, passion, and loyalty. These values support our core purpose; to build great relationships, one project at a time!

We believe in taking care of our team. From comprehensive wellness programs to continuous learning opportunities, we invest in your growth and well-being.

One Royal Culture Short Story

We have a current opening for a QC Technician for our Dallas, TX projects.

The QA/QC Coordinator (Field) is responsible for driving quality execution in the field across TXB1 projects while supporting QA/QC efforts on Mission Critical (MCC1) work as needed.

This is a field-first role focused on jobsite execution — working directly with Superintendents, Foremen, and crews to ensure installations are correct, complete, and built to a high standard. In addition, this role supports structured QA/QC planning, documentation, and turnover readiness to align with mission critical expectations.

This position will require light travel within the state of Texas to support project needs.

The goal is simple: build it right the first time, verify it, and ensure readiness for turnover.

Key Responsibilities

Field Quality Execution (Primary Focus – TXB1)

  • Perform daily field walks to verify installation meets drawings, specifications, and NEC requirements
  • Work directly with Superintendents and Foremen to address and correct issues in real time
  • Verify layout, routing, supports, terminations, and overall installation quality
  • Drive a “no rework” mindset by identifying issues early

Cross-Support for Mission Critical (MCC1)

  • Provide QA/QC support on MCC1 projects as needed
  • Assist in implementing structured QA/QC processes aligned with mission critical standards
  • Support inspection and verification efforts on more complex systems and installations
  • Help bring consistency between TXB1 and MCC1 quality expectations

Quality Planning & Execution

  • Support development and implementation of project-specific QA/QC plans aligned with company standards and client requirements
  • Assist in aligning QA/QC processes with PP4 (Project Kickoff) and PP5 (Project Execution / Tracking) workflows
  • Participate in pre-construction and kickoff meetings to ensure quality expectations are clearly defined

Deficiency Identification & Closeout

  • Identify, document, and track deficiencies with clear ownership
  • Ensure all quality items are driven to closure — no open loops
  • Support punch walks and pre-functional readiness efforts

Inspection & System Verification

  • Inspect key scopes including:
    • Underground (duct banks, grounding, encasement)
    • Rough-in and branch installation
    • Equipment setting and terminations
    • Electrical rooms and distribution systems
  • Support AHJ inspections and internal quality checkpoints
  • Assist in verifying system completeness prior to energization

Testing & Turnover Readiness

  • Support pre-functional checklists and system readiness
  • Assist with commissioning coordination when applicable
  • Help ensure systems are ready for turnover — not just installed
  • Support development of turnover documentation and as-builts

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain inspection reports, quality logs, and deficiency tracking systems
  • Assist with submittal reviews, RFIs, and as-built documentation from a QA/QC perspective
  • Track and report quality metrics, trends, and recurring issues

Pre-Task Planning & Execution Alignment

  • Participate in pre-task planning and look-ahead meetings
  • Identify quality risks before work begins
  • Reinforce standards established during PP4 and track execution in PP5

Prefab & Material Quality

  • Verify prefab assemblies and delivered materials meet quality expectations
  • Coordinate with prefab/IMS teams to resolve issues prior to installation
  • Ensure prefab systems meet fit, finish, and connection requirements

Required

  • 3–7 years of electrical construction experience (field supervision, foreman, or QA/QC)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Comfortable working primarily in the field (70–90%)
  • Willingness to travel within Texas as needed

Preferred

  • Experience on mission critical or data center projects
  • Exposure to commissioning and system turnover processes
  • Experience with underground and site electrical work
  • Familiarity with QA/QC or project management software (Procore, BIM 360, etc.)

Core Expectations

  • Be present in the field — not behind a desk
  • Catch issues early and prevent rework
  • Build with the end (turnover) in mind
  • Support both TXB1 and MCC1 teams as needed
  • Bring a mission critical mindset to everyday construction

Salary Range:

  • $75,000/Year
    • This an exempt position.

We offer competitive wages plus benefits and 401(k).
