QFC Logistics Coordinator

Role Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is a hands-on employee responsible for the accurate and timely execution of logistics activities within the Quality Fulfillment Center (QFC). This role ensures outbound material is processed in accordance with Rand’s Global Integrated Management System, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations. The Logistics Coordinator works under the Global Logistics Manager and partners closely with warehouse, quality, logistics, and customer support teams to maintain shipping accuracy, service excellence, and operational discipline.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate day-to-day logistics activities, including shipment scheduling, transportation planning, order fulfillment support, and delivery coordination.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and on time in accordance with customer requirements, transportation schedules, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, warehouses, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely and efficient movement of materials and products.
• Monitor shipment status, transit exceptions, delays, and documentation discrepancies; proactively communicate issues and escalate concerns to the Logistics Manager as needed.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment documentation, inventory transactions, and transportation data within company systems.
• Support inventory accuracy through shipment reconciliation, cycle count activities, inventory adjustments, and coordination with warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customer requirements, trade compliance standards, and company logistics procedures.
• Coordinate the safe handling and transportation of ESD-sensitive, moisture-sensitive, and high-value electronic components, ensuring appropriate packaging, labeling, and handling controls are maintained throughout the logistics process.
• Track key logistics performance metrics, including on-time delivery, freight costs, shipment accuracy, and carrier performance, and provide regular updates to management.
• Assist in resolving transportation, delivery, inventory, and customer service issues to minimize operational disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing logistics efficiency, inventory accuracy, transportation performance, and overall service levels.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready logistics records and documentation to support internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics activities to support the timely movement of inbound and outbound materials in alignment with customer requirements and operational priorities.
• Verify shipment information, including part numbers, quantities, destinations, and documentation accuracy, prior to release and transportation.
• Prepare, review, and maintain logistics documentation, including packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, customs documentation, freight records, and transportation-related reports.
• Ensure all required shipping, quality, and compliance documentation is complete and accurate before shipments are released.
• Communicate shipment status, transportation risks, delays, and logistics issues to the Logistics Manager and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, transportation, trade compliance, customs, and company logistics requirements.
• In coordination with Operations, Planning, and Sales Operations, prioritize shipments based on customer commitments, delivery schedules, business priorities, and revenue objectives to maximize on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
• Support customer-specific logistics requirements, including shipping instructions, labeling standards, routing guides, packaging specifications, and handling controls.
• Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory teams to ensure efficient material flow and execution of logistics activities.
• Assist with onboarding and cross-training activities by sharing logistics processes, system knowledge, and best practices with team members as required.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Quality, Procurement, Customer Service, and Operations teams to resolve shipment, inventory, transportation, or documentation discrepancies.
• Track and update shipment information within ERP, WMS, TMS, or other business systems to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
• Analyze logistics performance and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving delivery performance, inventory accuracy, transportation efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Apply PFMEA knowledge and Control Plan requirements to identify and support controls for critical quality characteristics, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and company standards where applicable.

• Understanding of domestic and international shipping requirements, including trade compliance, customs documentation, and regulatory requirements.

Education and/or Experience and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain functions; semiconductor/electronics industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, freight management, customs documentation, and trade compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP, WMS, inventory management, and transportation management systems.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications for reporting, tracking, and data analysis.
• Understanding of inventory control principles, shipping documentation, and logistics best practices.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• May be required to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs.
