Lydech is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. The Thermal Acoustical Solutions Segment offers a full line of innovative engineered products to assist in noise and heat abatement within the automotive and industrial markets. The business manufactures acoustical damping and thermal insulating solutions comprised of fiber and metal based composite product constructions. These products are typically found in the interior (dash insulators), underbody (wheel well, fuel tank, exhaust) and under hood (engine compartment) of passenger vehicles, heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles as well as in other industrial applications. The segment employs approximately ~1400 employees with operations in the U.S., Germany, France, and China.

Job Summary:

The Quality Administrator for APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and product launches will assist the Quality department to support the manufacturing operations. This role will help provide support for processes involving requirements for APQP / PPAP, Quality Engineers and the Quality Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Quality Engineers with PPAP documentation.


• Compose administrative correspondence and drafts (external and internal), such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.


• Provide administrative support for the Quality Manager, as needed.


• Ability to work in an open, transparent, and collaborative environment.


• Participate in APQP projects, including tracking project-related deliverables.


• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, such as maintaining information files and processing documentation.


• Support PPAP trials and run at rates in the manufacturing facility.


• Assist with compiling CMM data for customer reports.


• Promote continuous improvement


• Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules


• Must be able to work extended hours when required


• All other duties as assigned

Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:

• S. degree in Engineering, Business or related field (desired but will consider comparable combination of education and experience)


• 1 - 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


• Experience with Tier One Automotive manufacturing


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint


• Ability to deliver presentations


• Experience with Automotive Product Quality Planning (APQP) process


• Experience with the Automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)


• Excellent people and communication skills
