Actalent is Hiring a Quality Analyst

(Frankfort, IL)

Description:

Performs analyses, maintains, optimizes, and troubleshoots on the LCMS instrument. Acts as the “owner” of the LCMS, ensuring accurate and reliable analyses for cross-contamination. Creates batch instructions. As needed, performs analytical services that support production and packaging activities at the manufacturing plant. Maintains laboratory instrumentation/equipment. Leads the validation of existing methodologies.

•Perform analyses on Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry – QQQ (LCMS) for cross-contamination

•Enable other analysts to perform LCMS analyses

•Work with vendors and global network to:

oDevelop and optimize methods for existing LCMS analyses

oMaintain reliable performance of the LCMS instrument

•Create and update production batch instructions

•As needed, perform typical lab analyst tasks, such as:

oPerform routine analyses to confirm product specifications in support of production, packaging, bulk shipping, raw material receipt, wash water testing, product inquiries, etc.

oTroubleshoots laboratory instrumentation issues.

oObtains and prepares special samples for shipment.

oAssist Supervisor with special projects, as necessary.

oPerform daily housekeeping and calibration on laboratory and instruments.

oProvides technical support to plant production employees.

oDocuments data/results in appropriate technical databases/documentation.

oPerform quality inspections and audits on manufacturing vessels and packaging lines

Skills:

Quality assurance, Chemistry, LCMS, Quality control, Gmp, Laboratory, chromatography, analytical chemistry

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bs Science, Chemistry is preferred. LCMS is needed.

Open to industry experience, but must have a solid amount of experience
