The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies. This mid-level position goes beyond test execution, focusing on test planning, risk analysis, and quality metrics. The analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, leverage AI-assisted testing tools, and drive continuous quality enhancements across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

(Includes all Software Tester responsibilities, plus the following Elevated areas of ownership)

• Execution and documentation of testing for IT projects impacting one or multiple applications/systems.
• Providing estimates of the scope and timeframe necessary for testing a project to ensure a high-quality implementation.
• Close interaction with business customers and technical peers during the project life cycle.
• Creation and input of test data, either manually or by using tools, programs or extracted production data to execute test cases.
• Leverage AI for test optimization and prioritization.
• Analyze AI-generated insights for test planning.
• Validate AI model outputs in QA workflows.
• Definition and documentation of test plans, test cases and test scripts for IT software projects that vary from small to large in timeframe, scope, and complexity.  
• Modification of test plans in accordance with changing requirements.
• Ensuring traceability from requirements through test cases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Determine what tests include in smoke and regressions suites.
• Make recommendations for risk-based testing when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing with multiple applications.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Tosca.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation, test data setup, and backend testing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and techniques for defect detection and test optimization.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Proficient in working autonomously and within diverse teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for test automation.
• Understanding model validation and testing in AI/ML systems.
• Experience with AI-powered testing platforms.
• Experience mentoring junior QA team members or leading QA initiatives.
