Job Description - Quality Assurance & Account Review Specialist

Description

The Quality Assurance & Account Review Specialist will support the bank’s mission primarily through a) the reconciliation of various ledgers and accounts, and b) the review of all system maintenance performed by employees, with a primary focus on deposit-related activity.

Requirements

  

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred
  • Accounting experience preferred
  • Banking experience preferred—especially with new accounts and/or business documentation
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (specifically Word & Excel)
  • Positive attitude and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet required deadlines

Responsibilities

Daily & Periodic Reconciliations

  • Perform daily general ledger reconciliation of Federal Reserve Bank account.
  • Review daily positive pay reports and exceptions for internal accounts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of other correspondent bank accounts. 
  • Prepare reconciliations of other assigned ledgers and accounts.

Maintenance and Quality Assurance Review

  • Prepare weekly deposit account exception reports. These reports are used to monitor and ensure that signed account documents are completed and archived—in a timely manner—in the bank’s imaging system.
  • Review all new accounts that are opened (CDs and DDAs) and all new customer profiles that are created. This review is critical to ensuring that the information on the system was entered correctly, that it adheres to the bank’s protocols, and that it aligns with the information on the account paperwork.
  • Review all account revisions.
  • Track account errors (or missing information) and ensure that corrections are made.
  • Update document tracking checklists, clear exceptions, and be responsible for the accuracy of the account exception reports.
  • Perform a daily review of all maintenance performed on the system.

  • Assist with other special projects and tasks, as assigned.
