Quality Assurance Engineer

We have an exciting Remote opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer with our industry-leading client.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance.

Rate: $68 - $72 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the development and testing teams to understand product requirements and create effective test plans.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Execute automated test cases and analyze test results.
Identify and report defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
Continuously improve and maintain the automation test suite.
Design test strategies, execution methods, and success measures of both functional testing (requirement-based, business-process-based, and use-case) and non-functional testing (load, performance, stress, security, stability, compatibility - backward and forward, data migration, data conversion, configuration, and usability) for the project
Track QA program interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful project implementation and deployment
Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans
Manage testing feedback, lead defect prioritization, and communicate regularly with discipline leads to ensure proper resolution in a timely fashion
Manage bug tracking process, track issues status and resolution progress, and create quality matrices for the project team

Requirements:
5+ years demonstrated expertise with developing and implementing test plans, test strategies, and test cases for web applications and software
5+ years experience using quality management/bug tracking systems such as JIRA and other tools
Understanding and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience developing quality assurance reports and defect tracking
Experience using automated testing software (e.g., Selenium, Junit)

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
