As the Quality Assurance Manager, your primary objective is to serve as the ultimate safeguard of our operational integrity by driving accuracy, elevating standards, and protecting gross margins. You are responsible for relentlessly auditing material lists, specialist quotes, and sales requests to eliminate the costly backend errors that cause jobsite delays and profit loss. As a pivotal leader within the supply chain fulfillment engine, you ensure that our commitment to local builders and our team-owners is executed flawlessly across all estimating, quoting, and sales workflows.

• Cross-Functional Accuracy Auditing: Rigorously review estimator material lists, specialist quotes, and sales intake forms to verify complete alignment with project specifications and technical blueprints before orders move downstream.
• Margin Protection & Error Prevention: Proactively intercept SKU mismatches, off-guideline pricing, and incomplete data entry while verifying firm vendor quotes to guard against cost drift and preserve expected gross margins.
• Form & Workflow Optimization: Regularly audit, revise, and streamline intake and operational forms to capture essential data points, eliminate ambiguity, and reduce processing delays.
• Root Cause Analysis & Action Planning: Track recurring points of operational failure or quoting confusion, partnering directly with Category Managers, Logistics Leads, and Sales Managers to present audit findings and implement structured coaching and corrective action plans.
• Communication & Feedback Loops: Elevate team standards by delivering clear, objective, and constructive feedback across departments, ensuring estimators, specialists, and sales teams have the guidance needed to master their roles.
• 90-Day Operational Mastery: Execute a structured onboarding roadmap—progressing from shadowing workflows and mastering internal ERP/pricing systems (Days 1–30), to leading live mid-complexity audits and logging error patterns (Days 31–60), to running routine cross-functional syncs and establishing accuracy baselines (Days 61–90).

Performance is measured by your direct impact on cross-departmental accuracy, customer reliability, and margin retention:

• First-Pass Yield (Accuracy): Measuring the percentage of submitted sales requests, material lists, and quotes that pass QA inspection without requiring revisions.
• Margin Protection Score: Tracking the reduction of margin leakage caused by unchecked vendor cost drift, SKU mismatches, or off-guideline pricing.
• Cross-Departmental Error Rate: Monitoring the reduction of data entry errors and logistical omissions in final purchase orders issued to suppliers.
• Feedback Implementation Rate: Evaluating the percentage of identified systemic errors successfully resolved through coordinated management action plans.
