Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance Program in accordance with ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, and applicable NRC regulatory requirements. The QA Manager ensures that activities affecting quality are planned, performed, verified, and documented to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer contracts, and internal procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain and implement the Quality Assurance Program in compliance with ASME NQA-1 and regulatory requirements.

Ensure personnel performing quality-affecting activities are trained and qualified.

Maintain document and procedure control systems.

Review procurement documents for quality requirements and maintain the Approved Vendor List.

Ensure inspection and testing programs verify compliance with specifications and contracts.

Ensure special processes such as welding and NDE are performed by qualified personnel.

Maintain the Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration program.

Review contracts and establish inspection hold points during manufacturing.

Control nonconforming items and review NCR dispositions.

Implement corrective action programs and root cause analysis.

Ensure suspect/counterfeit item prevention programs are implemented.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, or related discipline preferred.

Minimum five years experience in quality assurance or regulated manufacturing environment.

Experience with ASME NQA-1, DOE QA programs, or NRC regulatory programs preferred.

Experience conducting internal or supplier audits.

Preferred Certifications

ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM)

ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

NQA‑1 Lead Auditor Certification or equivalent

Salary range: ($75,000-$95,000) depending on experience.
