Position Impact and Purpose…

This individual performs internal ISO system and line audit to support production and the customer as they work within the company policies to contribute to the Quality Department Business Plan concerning Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery within a tier one automotive supplier machining manufacturing facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities...

• Commitment to this companies objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery, and management according to the department business plan • Safety and security-observes safety and security procedures and using equipment and materials properly • Serve as EMS Management Representative to facilitate ISO Environmental Management System implementation, compliance, conformance, training, maintenance, communication, continuous improvement, and certification. • Assist QMS Management Representative with ISO Quality Management System implementation, compliance, conformance, maintenance, communication, and continuous improvement. • Perform internal system and line audits according to the audit schedule report on Internal Audit Findings • Transfer information from the ISO department to the plant concerning internal audit findings • Review, approve, record, and control procedures, revisions, and documents to assure accuracy and effectiveness of Quality Systems • Responsible to understand and comply with Customer Specific Requirements and Quality Manuals and perform internal audits on this companies adherence to customer requirements • Understand each customer upstream and downstream internal and external and promote customer awareness throughout the organization • Promote continuous improvement • Responsible for associate relations within this companies by leading as a role model, managing all subordinates through enforcing policy and procedures assuring compliance • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented • Assist with inspection and rework when necessary • Attend shift meetings and others applicable to the position • 5S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) your workspace and 5S duties as assigned • Perform other tasks as assigned

Competencies and skills...

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS standards • Understand and adhere to this companiesProcedures • Proficient in the use of document control software • Proficient in the use of corrective actions database • Understanding of manufacturing workflow, including planning activities and operations of the product for which responsible • Problem solving-identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully • Interpersonal skills-remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits a willingness to try new things • Oral communication-speaks clearly and professionally in positive or negative situations and demonstrates teamwork • Written communication-edits work for spelling and grammar, present numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpret written information • Planning/organizing-prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently • Quality adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events • Dependability-consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to management direction
