Position Summary:
 

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist ensures that all Biossance products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards from development to production. This role involves auditing processes, conducting product testing, and collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular quality inspections and audits across manufacturing and packaging processes.
  Review batch records, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with Biossance standards.
• Conduct product testing in line with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, report, and follow up on quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cosmetic industry regulations and best practices (FDA, ISO, GMP).
• Support product release approvals by reviewing quality documentation.
• Assist in training staff on quality policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
  2+ years of experience in quality assurance within the cosmetic, skincare, or personal care industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA cosmetic regulations, and ISO standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with QA documentation, audits, and laboratory testing methods.
