Position Summary:
Talent Source is hiring a Quality Assurance Supervisor to support ship repair and maintenance projects aboard U.S. Navy vessels. This role ensures effective implementation of quality policies and procedures, compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and oversight of quality processes throughout production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development of Quality Assurance Work Procedures, Test Procedures, and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).
• Review and ensure compliance with on-site production Work Packages and Technical Work Documents (TWD).
• Obtain output and status updates from production leads.
• Support the development of project plans and documentation, including Project Charters and Production BOMs.
• Coordinate with the Program Management Office (PMO) regarding project status, resource utilization, and customer guidelines.
• Provide Lessons Learned input on work processes, scheduling, manpower, and resource utilization.
• Ensure instructions and work items are clearly defined and compliant with customer specifications.
• Compile and review test and inspection records for completed tasks.
• Read and interpret customer instructions, drawings, and routing diagrams to ensure compliance of installed components and assemblies.
• Support the setup, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment.
• Review engineering design plans, concepts, and proposals for adequacy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to NAVSEA Standard Items and NAVSEA Technical Specifications.
• Maintain required training records.
• Implement Corrective Action and Preventative Action processes, including fact findings and critiques.
• Conduct internal audits and routine quality and safety surveillances.
• Perform additional duties as required to support business operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ship repair aboard U.S. Navy ships.
• Experience with installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic, copper multi-pin, and RF cable assemblies is a plus.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items and specified testing requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret work item requirements, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
Education:
• High School Diploma.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Salary Range:
$28-$38
