Requirements

Due to business growth, we are seeking to fill a Quality Assurance Technician position. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA Tech verifies the conformance of product through inspection and/or gage calibration. The QA Tech assists with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), evaluation of measurement systems, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action. The QA Tech works primarily with internal customers to establish and assure compliance to quality standards.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct himself or herself in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner at all times; carry out all job responsibilities in accordance with site safety rules and expectations; and actively participate in the innovation and improvement of the site and company.

  

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  1. Performs inspection of all incoming product from suppliers externally and internally.
  2. Performs inspection of finished product. 
  3. Performs internal auditing of the Quality Systems.
  4. Responsible for signing off on inspections.
  5. Performs in-process inspections as required. 
  6. Responsible for the training of new employees on inspection equipment. 
  7. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  8. Documents actions by completing quality logs.
  9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  10. Communicates with suppliers on quality-related issues as needed. 
  11. Member of the Audit Board.
  12. Supports and facilitates Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Teams.
  13. Other duties may be assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: High School Graduate. Preferred: Associates degree or Apprenticeship in related technical field.
  • Preferred: 3 years’ experience in machine shop environment.

Qualifications:

Experienced in measurement techniques and documenting results. Working knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and corrective action implementation and verification a plus. Demonstrated ability to work well and provide support to internal customers.

Must be a citizen of or person admitted lawfully for permanent residence into the United States.
