We are hiring a Quality Assurance Technician to serve as the bridge between our manufacturing floor and our customers. While our CMM Techs ensure the physical part is correct, you ensure the data package, the process, and the documentation prove it.
You will be the primary Liaison Officer for customer source inspections, meaning you must be comfortable hosting external inspectors, walking them through our processes, and answering their questions with confidence. You will own the "paper trail" of precision manufacturing—managing FAIs (AS9102), PPAPs, Material Certs, and CoCs.
We are looking for someone who has the technical background to run a CMM program in a pinch and understand the math, but whose true strength lies in the rigorous details of compliance, root cause analysis, and customer deliverables. If you are a detail-obsessed quality professional who wants to take ownership of the final mile of delivery, we want to talk.

Compliance & Documentation (The Core)
Own the FAI Process: Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIs) strictly adhering to AS9102 standards.
Traceability: Manage the "Life of the Part" documentation—collecting and verifying Material Certs, Plating/Finish Certs, and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) from suppliers.
PPAP Management: Coordinate Production Part Approval Process campaigns, ensuring Control Plans, PFMEAs, and dimensional results are accurate and submitted on time.
Liaison & Source Inspection
Source Inspection Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact when customer representatives (Source Inspectors) come onsite. Schedule their visits, have the parts and paperwork staged, and walk them through the validation process.
Audit Support: Assist with preparation for internal and external audits (AS9100 / ISO 9001).
Technical Support & Problem Solving
CMM Operation: While not your daily task, you must be able to load a part and run a CMM program to verify data if production is backed up.
Corrective Actions: Lead or support RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) investigations. Don't just log a defect—use "5 Whys" to figure out how to stop it from happening again.
Supplier Quality: Manage SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) when incoming materials or outside processing fails to meet our standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in Quality Assurance. We highly value background in Aerospace (AS9100) but have had success with candidates from Automotive (IATF 16949) backgrounds who understand rigorous documentation (PPAP/Control Plans).
The "Liaison" Personality: You must have the communication skills and "EQ" to manage external inspectors and internal machinists. You are the face of the company during inspections.
Documentation Rigor: Deep familiarity with AS9102 Forms
Traceability: You understand why a missing heat lot number or plating cert is a critical failure, not just a typo.
Technical Skills: Ability to read complex blueprints/GD&T and operation knowledge of CMMs (Zeiss/Calypso preferred, but general aptitude is fine).
Software: Strong Excel skills are required (data compilation for reports).
