Quality Control Clerk

Canam Bridges designs, manufactures and installs steel bridges for major infrastructure contractors across North America. Canam Bridges is a member of Canam Group, which has over 5,100 employees and operates 22 plants in North America, as well as engineering offices in Canada, Romania, India and the Philippines.

Summary

The Quality Control Clerk will provide administrative support to the Quality Control Manager and other members of the Quality Control team.  This individual will organize documents, certifications, manuals, and other various tasks.  The Quality Control Clerk will also stay updated on regulatory and customer requirements and assist the Quality Control Manager in maintaining compliance with these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize and compile inspection reports and certifications for all projects

• Complete daily inspection forms and maintain related documentation

• Update daily reports, logs, and KPI data

• Compile data from various sources and prepare periodic reports

• Prepare package binders for training and production projects

• Monitor updates on industry regulations and customer requirements and update process manuals as necessary

• Assist the Quality Control Manager with periodic audits

• Perform clerical duties for QC staff

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor as needed

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and skill normally associated with the attainment of a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Highly efficient at typing and data entry

• Good skills with spreadsheet and word processing computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets

• Ability to utilize Google Suite applications

Work Environment

General office, production environment and plant operation. Daily exposure to computer display and shop environment.
