Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is a field-based role primarily supporting construction quality assurance activities on projects located in Enfield and East Windsor, CT. The successful candidate will ensure that work is performed according to specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections for paving operations, patching, joint/crack sealing, and material placement.
Monitor the installation of pavement markings, traffic control devices, drainage structures, and other project elements.
Maintain detailed daily inspection reports and accurate project documentation.
Coordinate closely with the QC Manager, engineers, and construction teams to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Verify that contractors and subcontractors adhere to quality control standards and contractual requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory protocols at all times.
Assist with the use of digital inspection tools and software-based reporting systems.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in construction inspection or quality control.
Familiarity with DOT standards and specifications; CTDOT experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency in inspection documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
NETTCP QAT Certification required (or willingness to obtain).
OSHA 10 or 30-hour Certification required.
Experience inspecting paving, drainage, and traffic control systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple site locations as needed.
