Job Summary: 

The Quality Control Manager will lead quality assurance and control at the McGregor, TX fabrication facility, ensuring structural steel, PEMB, and cladding products meet rigorous standards. This role involves collaborating with production teams, other company facilities, and outsourcing partners to support high\-quality, scalable operations. The ideal candidate is a detail\-oriented leader with strong quality management expertise, team leadership skills, and the ability to uphold standards through effective budgeting, reporting, and process oversight in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule: 

• Standard day shift, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday\-Friday, with flexibility to support production needs.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering/Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
  


• Experience: Minimum 5\-7 years of proven experience in quality management or supervisory roles within manufacturing, structural steel, or heavy industrial environments, with hands\-on expertise in quality assurance and control processes, including dossier management, material reception, internal inspections, and traceability.
  


• Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory or managerial experience leading a team of quality professionals.
  


• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CQM, CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  


• Strong leadership abilities to manage a small, growing team, including hiring, training, and conflict resolution, with experience collaborating with other quality units.
  


• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, developing business cases for workforce or scope changes, and departmental reporting for quality operations.
  


• In\-depth knowledge of quality control techniques, including dimensional control, NDT (VI, MP, UT), and paint inspection processes relevant to structural steel and PEMB fabrication.
  


• Proficiency in quality management software (e.g., QMS tools like MasterControl, Qualio, or similar) and data analysis tools for generating accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  


• Excellent problem\-solving, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate with local teams, manage third\-party vendors for in\-shop and in\-field services, and liaise with other company facilities and outsourcing partners.
  


• Ability to work full\-time on\-site at the McGregor, TX facility, with flexibility for occasional travel to other company facilities or outsourcing partners for coordination and quality alignment.
  


• Proactive mindset committed to precision, safety, and operational excellence in a manufacturing setting.
  


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  


• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English/Spanish to interpret/follow safety guidelines and work instructions.
  


• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  


• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to [e.g., 50 pounds] regularly.
  


• Ability to work in various environmental conditions common to a manufacturing facility (e.g., varying temperatures, noise levels, potential for dust/debris, wet floors).
  


• Manual dexterity and hand\-eye coordination for operating equipment and handling supplies.
