Quality Control Technician: Monroe, Wisconsin
Our customer in Monroe, Wisconsin has been making quality and traditional foods for over 100 years. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Quality Control Technician. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through meticulous checks, laboratory analysis, and adherence to strict standards. Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:
- Perform quality and packaging line checks.
- Operate laboratory equipment and conduct chemical analysis; report data to supervisors.
- Verify product to master specifications.
- Maintain food safety program documentation.
- Conduct environmental monitoring sampling.
- Gather water, whey, milk, and in-process samples.
- Support facility compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Conduct facility Pre-Op inspections and swabs for start-up.
- Communicate any food safety related issues to supervisors or managers.
- Prepare DMRs.
- Assist in QA-related trainings.
- Assist with other QA-related responsibilities as needed.
Quality Control Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions consistently.
- Proficient manual dexterity for routine laboratory functions.
- Quality Assurance experience in a food production environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates or technical degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
- Specialized training in Food Technology or Laboratory Sciences preferred.
- Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- On feet for a minimum of 11 hours.
- Working in temperature fluctuations.
- Must be able to reach over your head.
Pay for Quality Control Technician: $20.11/hour plus shift differentials.
